Kathleen Daugherty is a retired superintendent with more than 34 years of experience in educational administration at all levels and 47 years of overall experience in education. She brings a background in charter school development, oversight and leadership, working with underperforming schools, school site leadership, public relations, and community involvement through membership and leadership in the International Lions Clubs, the National Cancer Society, the International Soroptimist Club, and local non-profit organizations.  Kathleen is a firm believer that it “Takes a Village” and involves the community to support the schools. In 2009 she was named the Superintendent/Principal of the year for California by the Association of California School Administrators. She also received the key to the City of Napa in 1999 for her work with the city as part of Leadership Napa Valley; was named the Citizen of the Year by the Newcastle Community Association; was named Lion of the Year by District 4C-5; and received the Leadership Award from the Newcastle Business Association. Her unique background and experiences cover both district and charter organization and school site leadership, instructional technology, PBL and 21st Century learning, and organizational management/Board development. She continues to mentor candidates for their Administrative Credentials.

Michele is a retired superintendent with more than 20 years of experience in educational administration at all levels as well as 45 years of overall experience in education. She has a background which includes international education, charter school creation, grant writing, union negotiations, board governance and crisis management along with a plethora  of other educational sub-focuses. Michele has been recognized as a Superintendent of the Year in 2012 , she's a two time recipient of the Rose Brown Award from the Auburn Education Foundation (2003 and 2005), Elda Goff Award winner in 2003, Silver Star Administrative Award winner for ASCA Region 2 in 2012 and Michele also took home the Placer County Teacher Who Makes a Difference Award in 1992 . A leader in her community as well, Michele was on the Board of Directors for the Placer Boys & Girls Club for more than 8 years and the Auburn Education Foundation Board of Directors for more than 15 years. She was also involved with the California Leadership Academy and Leading the Leaders for a number of years. Michele is currently a partner at Momni Cafe as well as an Administrative Induction Coach.

Michael has over 17 years of School Board experience, serving for fifteen years as a member of the Newcastle Elementary School District Board of Trustees and for six years as a member of the Executive Committee of the Placer County School Boards Association.  He is a 2007 graduate of the California School Boards Association Masters in Governance program.  During his tenure at Newcastle Elementary, Michael served as President of the Board for five, non-consecutive terms and his leadership team improved student achievement test scores to rank in the top 30% in Placer County.  Michael also worked to complete construction of an all-volunteer-built outdoor amphitheater and organized and authorized multiple charter schools.  During his tenure at Placer County School Boards Association,  Michael served four consecutive terms as Chair of the Executive Committee.  Michael is a co-founder of a non-profit that supports and raises funds for the Auburn Boys and Girls Club, Placer Arts Concert Series, Red Cross and Salvation Army. Michael served four terms as President of the Newcastle Community Association and organized and moderated Newcastle Candidates Night in 2004, ’06 and ’08.  Michael was named Newcastle Citizen of the Year in 2008 and received a Special Commendation from the Placer County Board of Supervisors the same year. In 2008, Michael was named an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Newcastle Firefighters Volunteer Association. Michael received a Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Trustee

With over 33 years in education, Julie spent her first 11 years as a classroom teacher before transitioning to non-classroom based charter schools. Throughout the 20+ years in charter
schools, she has served as a teacher, learning center coordinator, Principal, and Executive Director. Julie enjoys sharing her passion for leadership and communication with other growing
administrators as well as helping charter schools continue to provide excellent educational opportunities to their students. She has extensive experience in instructional leadership training,
staff development, charter school oversight, and relationship building among school staffs, school boards, and charter authorizers. Julie also enjoys using her graphic design background to
create marketing materials, social media posts, and training materials.
